Empty Bowls Benefit -

Mark will perform and organize a two staged benefit concert to benefit the Empty Bowls Hunger project in Spartanburg SC on October 10th 2009.

Give Them Bread

We have started a Myspace page called GIVE THEM BREAD.  Our goal is to start a grassroots movement that will spread across the nation, city by city. We hope to inspire and empower musicians on a local level to find a location through their contacts with club owners, music stores or local venues etc. in order to organize a food drive in their city. This is a win-win for all involved. The hungry in the community benefit, the musicians and club owners/organizers benefit with good karma, good press and recognition as having a positive impact in their community. There are a multitude of organizations in every community that will be glad to accept this help. The Salvation Army, Local soup kitchens, Empty Bowls, Feed America etc.

We ask any bands/musicians that have the heart & spine to request friendship with Give Them Bread, In doing so, pledging to organize an event and setting a solid timeline/target date to make this happen.

The result will be a musical event filled with egoless love vibrations that will help the hungry and help musicians  gain respect and show their cities what they can do with their talent and positive energy.
